ORIGINAL CHARACTER COMMISSION · MANILA

Custom OC figurine Philippines.

Luminary Studios builds one-of-one OC figures from character sheets, turnarounds, and conversations, then finishes each surface by hand in Manila. Paint is the art. The piece is made for its owner — not a catalog item, not merch, not a licensed run.

Who this is for

Use this path when the brief is an original character you have the right to commission — a sheet, a turnaround, a personal design made solid as a display piece.

Creators

Your OC, on the desk

Translate a character sheet, turnaround, or concept art into a painted figure with a pose, hair, clothing, and accessories that belong to that design.

Collectors

A one-of-one, not merch

Commission a collector piece from a character you own or have clearance to use. This is not merchandise and not a production run.

Gift planners

A specific presence

Plan around the subject, scale, finish, budget, and deadline. The form on the homepage is how the brief arrives.

What the studio will and will not claim

The work is collector sculpture. The paint carries the feeling. Affiliation is not part of the offer.

No IP claims

Not licensed merch

Luminary does not sell official character merchandise and does not claim partnership with any publisher, studio, or IP holder. Send a design you have the right to commission.

Custom figurines

Not a template with a name added

The custom figurines page is the same rule here: posture, expression, clothing, colors, and details belong to the subject.

Collector display

Paint is the art

Each commission is a one-of-one piece. Sculpt, cast, and hand-paint happen in Manila at Luminary Studios PH.

How the work starts

The first useful step is a clear brief through the existing commission form. Scope can become more precise as the work develops.

01

Send the character brief

Include the character sheet or turnarounds, pose, preferred size, hair and accessories, budget range, and deadline. Use the homepage form — the same commission flow the rest of the site uses.

02

Resolve the design

Agree on the details that must remain faithful and the areas where sculptural interpretation is welcome. Color, silhouette, and expression are decided here.

03

Finish for display

Sculpt, prepare, paint, and finish the piece around the intended display context. The paint is where the character becomes present.

Common questions

Use these answers to decide whether the service fits your project. A real quote still needs the brief.

Can you work from a character sheet or turnaround?

Yes. Character sheets, turnarounds, concept art, and a short note on pose and must-keep details are suitable starting references. Original characters you have the right to commission are the right fit.

How much does an OC figure cost?

The public guide is about ₱2,000 per inch. A painted piece around 8 inches / 20 cm has landed around $350. That is a live reference, not a rate card. Complexity, likeness, hair, accessories, and base work change the number. Send the brief for a real quote.

Is this official merchandise?

No. This is one-of-one collector work. Luminary does not claim IP, studio affiliation, or a licensed product line. If you do not have the right to commission the design, do not send it.

How long does the work take?

A typical commission takes around two to three months. Complexity, likeness, base work, and revisions affect the schedule.

How do I inquire?

Use the commission form on the Luminary homepage. A public reply-within-24h note is already on that page.

Next step

Send the brief.

Include the character sheet, turnarounds, pose, size, timeline, and any constraint that cannot change. The form is the same commission flow already on the homepage.
